Squares in a Tennis Net |
| Here is the count. |

First we have to count the number of squares or holes from top to bottom. On this one I count 20 down. Then we count across to the center strap and I count 136 squares. Here is the math. 136 x 20 x 2 = 5440 The number may vary depending on the manufacturer but this is what I found on a commercially availble net here in the U.S.A. Now the question arrives as to why would you want to do this. I once noticed a Pro ask his students to guess the number and found most of them very excited to guess correctly or even close. Make it a contest if you need to but it is just another thing to keep the minds of your students active. Copyright - TennisTeachingProfessional.com |
